Student OMNY Cards for Bee-Line buses available now

Student OMNY Cards for Bee-Line buses available now

Dear Parents/Guardians:

The Mount Vernon City School District continues to value students coming to school every day and getting here safely. This year, we will be participating in the OMNY program for the Bee-Line bus service. MetroCard will no longer be accepted. The Mount Vernon City School District is able to subsidize some of the cost of the pass due to our state aid eligibility. Click here to access the order form.

  • For students that live 1.5 miles or more from their school, the cost of the pass will be $50 dollars per semester (September to January and February to June).
  • For students that live less than 1.5 miles from their school, the cost of the pass will be $175 per semester (September to January and February to June).

Because the card can be used all year long, if you would like your child to use the pass during the summer, you will be responsible to pay an extra $20.

Description of Program:

  1. Student OMNY Cards are valid for grades 7-12, on Bee-Line buses only, not MTA buses.
  2. Student OMNY Cards are valid Monday-Sunday 24 hrs. a day and up to four trips per day.
  3. Student OMNY Cards are valid for five months, either from September-January or February-June.
  4. Student OMNY Cards are valid for an addition $20 for summer usage.

We are now accepting orders for Student OMNY Cards. Parents/Guardians must submit payment for a full semester in cash or money order (payable to Mount Vernon City School District). Caregivers interested in a Student OMNY Card must visit Mount Vernon High School, Curriculum & Instruction Suite, Room 231, located at 100 California Road, Mount Vernon, NY, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

County are partnering with our district to help improve attendance, improve academics, and keep our children safe.
